Air-Permeability or Air-Leakage testing is a required for Building Regulation Part L1a.
ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing & Measurement Association) qualified to undertake air-leakage testing on new residential dwellings.
The non destructive test is completed at the end of construction phase and we can arrange to fit in the test around you, give advice on how to prepare, provide advice on how to pass and provide feedback directly after Air-tightness of a building is also known as 'air permeability' and when measured is referred to as the buildings air leakage rate. Air leakage can occur through gaps, holes and cracks in the fabric of the building envelope (service penetrations, wall and roof junctions etc), which are not sealed correctly. Following the air-leakage test we will provide you with an ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association) test measurement certificate which will be required by Building Control. The SAP assessor will also require a copy of the air test certificate in order to finalise the as-built SAP calculations and lodge the final EPC (Energy Performance Certificate). |
